Moratorium on granting planning consents for unconventional oil and gas developments in Scotland

Shepherd and Wedderburn Partner, Ewan MacLeod to speak at UK Shale and Energy Conference

Shepherd and Wedderburn Partner, Ewan MacLeod will join an impressive speaking panel when he presents on the current Scottish moratorium on unconventional oil and gas development at the UK Shale and Energy Conference, at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology & Innovation Centre on 25th September.

The conference, hosted by the Scottish Energy Association and Scottish Energy News, will look at issues surrounding the production of shale gas, homing in on the continuing fracking debate. Topics include The economics of shale oil and gas; Location and quantity of shale reserves, as well as legal issues related to exploration and extraction.

Ewan MacLeod said: “This event is a unique opportunity to connect with professionals in the sector and to share and exchange new ideas on issues which are currently very hot topics on the UK’s energy agenda.
